Ending Your Wordly Session

Learn how to end your Wordly session

Wordly doesn't end a session on its own. You must end the session manually.

To end a Wordly session

  1. From your Wordly session, click the exit button ( exit button).
  2. Click End. This notifies attendees that the session has ended. Time will no longer be deducted from your account.

Leave doesn't end the session. It leaves the session open, making it appear to attendees as if the session is still ongoing.

What if I don't end my session manually?

If you don't end your Wordly session annually, the session stays open and keep appearing as active to attendees. Minutes will continue to be deducted from your account as long as the microphone button (mobile 4.0 presenter microphone) is unmuted until you click End in your session controls. You'll only stop being charged for minutes once the session is ended.

To avoid accidental charges, start the session with the microphone muted and unmute when your speaker begins presenting. For more information, read About Spending Wordly Minutes.

Next Steps

The ended session remains available and you can reopen it with the same QR codes and links.

If you had selected the Save Transcript or Save and allow attendees to copy full transcript option when you created your session, ending your session also generates an AI transcript that may be viewed and downloaded in the Transcripts section of your Wordly dashboard. For more information on transcripts, read Accessing Transcripts.
