[In-Person Events](https://help.wordly.ai/hosting-a-wordly-session?hsLang=en#in-person-events) # Hosting An In-Person Wordly Session Using A Mobile Device ## How to start and run your Wordly session from the Wordly Translation App You can start an in-person Wordly session from the [Wordly Translation App](https://www.wordly.ai/translation-app). The Wordly app can be used for both iPhone and Android devices. #### To download the Wordly app 1. Download and install the Wordly app. The Wordly Translated app is available for both Apple and Android and can be found to download in the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/wordly-translator/id1507412881) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tech.wordly.android.present). 2. After opening the app, accept the terms of service. With the Wordly app, you can: - [Start a session](https://help.wordly.ai/starting-an-in-person-wordly-session-mobile-device#no-sign-in). - [Manage your session](https://help.wordly.ai/starting-an-in-person-wordly-session-mobile-device#manage). - [End your session](https://5315820.hs-sites.com/ending-your-wordly-session?hsLang=en). ### Starting a session #### Prerequisites - Session ID and passcode. Session ID is always four letters and four numbers. 1. Enter the following:  - Session ID. - Passcode. - Name. *Note: Wordly remembers the last used session on a device. If you're joining a new session on the same device, you may need to enter a different session.* 3. Click/tap Join. 4. Click/tap the microphone button ( ![mobile 4.0 presenter microphone](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/mobile%204.0%20presenter%20microphone.jpeg?width=34&height=36&name=mobile%204.0%20presenter%20microphone.jpeg) ) and begin speaking. By default, the application is set to push-to-talk, where you need to push the microphone button when speaking. You can change this by going to Settings ( ![mobile 4.0 presenter menu](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/mobile%204.0%20presenter%20menu.jpeg?width=32&height=33&name=mobile%204.0%20presenter%20menu.jpeg) ). ### Managing your session Within the Wordly app, you can: - Change the language that you're speaking in. The language options are set when the session is created or edited. However, you can edit these options in the Wordly app. Tap/click the language dropdown menu at the top of the app ( ![Button-Language-Dropdown](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/Button-Language-Dropdown.png?width=130&height=16&name=Button-Language-Dropdown.png) ) to access the language controls.  - Click/Tap the language that you want to speak in. - Click  'Add more languages' to add another input language. You can have a total of 9 input languages. - Select the Automatic language selection checkbox to enable [Automatic language selection](https://help.wordly.ai/using-automatic-language-selection?hsLang=en). - View the presenters and attendees attending the event by clicking the Participants button  ( ![mobile 4.0 presenter attendees](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/mobile%20%204.0%20presenter%20attendees.jpeg?width=35&height=36&name=mobile%20%204.0%20presenter%20attendees.jpeg) ). - Manage session settings by clicking the Settings button ( ![mobile 4.0 presenter menu](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/mobile%204.0%20presenter%20menu.jpeg?width=33&height=34&name=mobile%204.0%20presenter%20menu.jpeg) ). You can: - Change how the text displays. Check the 'Show only complete phrases' checkbox to display the text after the full translation has completed. - If you have the iOS version of the app, turn on text-to-speech to read out the transcript messages when you enable audio, even if the speaker is speaking the same language that you''ve selected. The setting, "Play a virtual voice when speaker is speaking my own language" can be useful when it's hard to hear or understand the speaker. - Change the presenter's microphone. You can choose: - - Open Microphone. Session starts with your computer sending audio to Wordly immediately. To save minutes, you should only use this setting if you are ready to use Wordly as soon as the session starts. To pause the microphone, press the microphone button to mute and unmute. - Push to talk. Speakers must unmute themselves by holding down the microphone button while speaking. ### Ending a Session #### To end a session 1. Tap/click the the exit button ( ![mobile 4.0 presenter end](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/mobile%204.0%20presenter%20end.jpeg?width=26&height=25&name=mobile%204.0%20presenter%20end.jpeg) ) to end the session. 2.
