[Wordly for Microsoft Teams](https://help.wordly.ai/integrations-and-apis?hsLang=en#wordly-for-microsoft-teams) # Using Meeting Bot for Microsoft Teams ## How to use Wordly's Meeting Bot for your Microsoft Teams meetings You can use Wordly's Meeting Bot to integrate with Microsoft Teams in instances where you can't use the Wordly for Microsoft Teams app. Use the Meeting Bot if you're: - Running a Microsoft Teams Webinar. - Using the Safari browser. *Wordly’s Meeting Bot for Microsoft Teams is compatible with Microsoft Teams Meetings and Webinars.* *For Microsoft TeamsLive Events and Town Hall**,** please see [Send Audio to Wordly With Any Other Streaming Platform](https://help.wordly.ai/use-wordly-with-other-streaming-platforms?hsLang=en).* #### Prerequisites - AWordly portal with available minutes. - A Microsoft Teams account with the verification checks [disabled](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/join-verification-check). Teams' verification checks prevent the Wordly Meeting Bot from joining the meeting. For more information about disabling Teams' verification checks, see Microsoft's Teams documentation. #### Special considerations - If you need to share a presentation, use standard screen sharing and make sure "System Audio" is turned on. Don't use "PowerPoint Live," which is Microsoft Teams' embedded PowerPoint player. Audio shared through PowerPoint Live isn't received by the Meeting Bot and therefore won't be translated. - For a Teams' webinar, you need to give Wordly microphone access. If you don't allow microphone access to participants, you'll need to promote Wordly to a presenter. Before the meeting Create a session on theWordly portal or use an existing session. If you’re unsure on how to create a session, check out [Creating a Session](https://help.wordly.ai/adding-a-session?hsLang=en). #### During the meeting Once your Teams meeting has begun, follow these steps to invite the Meeting Bot to your meeting. Keep in mind, the Meeting Bot tries to join for 10 minutes before giving up, so it’s best to invite the bot when the meeting has begun or just before it starts. 1. From the Wordly dashboard, click "Sessions" from the left side menu. 2. Click the target session to reveal the session details. 3. Enter the Teams URL. Make sure there is an https:// in front of the URL. 5. Click **"**Invite." Inviting Wordlytakes some moments to process. 6. When the virtual meeting starts, the meeting organizer may need to allow Wordly to join. Locate Wordly in the lobby of the Team meeting and give access to Wordly. For more information about managing Team participants, see Microsoft's Teams documentation. 7. (Webinars Only) Promote the Meeting Bot to presenter. *Don't worry if after initially admitting Wordly, the bot remains in the lobby and the checkmark and x icons return. The live transcript still runs. To verify the transcript, check the "Attendee  Link" link.* #### To end the Wordly Bot session 1. In the "Live Session Controls" window, click the trash can icon (![blue trash](https://help.wordly.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Graphics/blue%20trash.png?width=25&height=31&name=blue%20trash.png)). 2. In the "Are you sure you want to remove this bot?" window, click "Remove." The bot can be invited again, if needed. *Don't remove the Wordly Bot from the meeting through the Teams meeting participant list. It won't be able to re-join the meeting if you do.* #### Next Steps You can now continue your meeting withWordly participation.
