Setting Up Automatic Language Selection
How to set up Automatic Language Selection to detect a speaker's language
In "Default Settings for New Sessions" under the "Session Defaults" tab, you can configure the default language settings that appear when you create a new Wordly session. After you configure these settings, your chosen languages automatically appear when you create a new session.
Be aware that:
- You'll still have the ability to manually select a presenter language.
- Not all languages are available for Automatic Language Selection.
- Your selections in Automatic Language Selection for the speaker doesn't affect which languages your attendees and viewers are able to choose from.
To set up Automatic Language Selection
- From the left side menu, select the "Session Defaults" tab.
- Select the default presenter language for your session from the dropdown menu under the "Default input language."
- In the "Speaker's language selector" field, click "+Add more languages."
- Select the presenter languages between which Wordly will automatically alternate. You can either hold down the Shift key while selecting the languages or check multiple boxes to select multiple languages.
You can select a maximum of 8 languages. The default presenter language is added to this set at runtime if it's not already included. - Click "Add (x) language(s)" to add the languages.
- (Optional) To remove languages from this field, click the X next to the language.
- Select "Yes, automatically select input languages (with priority given to the above list) " under "Automatically switch input language?"
- Click "Save."
We recommend limiting the language selection to only the languages that will be spoken during your session. This ensures that the languages alternate as quickly as possible.
