Special Considerations for Hybrid Events

How to use Wordly for presenting for both in-person and streaming

There are special circumstances that you need to consider when you use Wordly at a hybrid event, where you are streaming an event that's also being presented to an in-person audience.

You don't want to use the same QR code/ URL link found in meeting shortcuts for the streaming audience as well as your in-person audience. The reason is because of latency, or delays in your streaming communication.

You'll want to create two sessions: one for the in-person attendees and one for the streaming attendees. This setup not only reduces latency issues but also helps maintain equal language access for both audiences.

Wordly won't charge you double for these sessions. Inform your Wordly representative that you're using Wordly with this scenario.

When you create the two Wordly sessions, we recommend that you name the two sessions something such as: In-person conference and Virtual conference. This lets you easily differentiate between the two conference sessions, even if the title is truncated.

If you have sessions that are only in-person, such as a lunch session, you should have a separate session for this instance.
