What is Meeting Bot?
About the Wordly Meeting Bot for virtual meetings
Wordly's Meeting Bot is an automated application that provides live transcription and translation for virtual meetings on platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Webex. You invite the Meeting Bot to a meeting as if it were an attendee. The Meeting Bot listens to the meeting and transmits the audio to Wordly so it can be translated.
Meeting Bot is used when Wordly’s app or integration can’t be used, such as:
- You’re using Zoom, but you’re not the host of the Zoom meeting, or you don’t have permissions to download Wordly for Zoom.
- You have multiple Zoom accounts, but only one Wordly account.
- You're using breakout rooms in Zoom.
- You’re using Webex, but you don’t have permissions to integrate Wordly with Webex.
- You’re running a Microsoft Teams Webinar.
- You’re running Microsoft Teams on a mobile device or through a Safari browser.
- You’re using Google Meet, or another virtual meeting platform that doesn’t have a Wordly integration.
How it Works
- From the Wordly dashboard, click the "Sessions" menu and select your desired session. Click "Get Links to Join."
- Expand the "Video Conference" box and click "Invite Meeting Bot."
- In the "Invite Wordly to a Meeting" box, select the speaker's language.
- Copy and paste the meeting URL into the meeting URL field. Make sure there is an https:// in front of the URL.
- Click "Invite." Inviting Wordly takes a moment to process.
- You may need to allow Wordly to join the meeting. Admit Wordly.
