Use Wordly With Google Meet
Learn how to integrate Wordly with your Google Meet call
Wordly can integrate with a Google Meet meeting using Wordly’s Meeting Bot feature.
Prerequisites
To use Wordly with Google Meet, you’ll need the following:
- A Wordly account with available minutes.
- A Google account.
Integrate Wordly with Google Meet
To integrate Wordly with your Google Meet meeting, you'll need to invite the Meeting Bot into the meeting as an attendee.Keep in mind, the Meeting Bot tries to join for 10 minutes before giving up, so it’s best to invite the bot when the meeting has begun or just before it starts.
To integrate the Meeting Bot with Google Meet
- Create a session in the Wordly portal or use an existing session.
- Start your Google Meet meeting.
- From the Wordly dashboard, select Sessions from the left side menu.
- Click the three horizontal lines icon on the top right of the session details.
- Click Join with meeting bot. In the Live Session Controls window, enter the Google Meet URL. Make sure there is an https:// in front of the URL.
- In Google Meet, locate Wordly waiting to join in the lobby, and allow Wordly into the meeting. It may take a few minutes for Wordly to display.
During the session, you may need to change the speaker's language. See Changing Speaker Language.
To access the Attendee Shortcut link and view the live transcript, see Attending a Session
After the Meeting
When your Google Meet call ends, the Meeting Bot leaves the call.
You can remove the Wordly Meeting Bot from the meeting at any time by clicking the trash can beside it in the Live Session Controls window in Wordly. The bot can be invited again, if needed.
