Incorporating Wordly in Video Systems
How to customize a subtitling display for onscreen viewing
You can display Wordly content on an exterior monitor for your attendee's viewing. Wordly can be displayed full-screen or can be overlaid on top of video to provide open subtitles for viewing.
You set this up in the Subtitle app – part of the Wordly Display product (https://display.wordly.ai/subtitle).
To customize your subtitle display:
- Set up the transcription/translation frame that displays the subtitles. This feature makes it simple to add video subtitles directly into your production workflow.
- (Optional) Edit the Wordly frame in video software.
- (Optional) Advanced Display options.
Prerequisites
- Session ID and passcode. Read Creating a session for information on how to obtain a session ID.

To edit the subtitle frame
Once you've set how you want your Wordly subtitle frame to display, you can display it on your monitor or with a projector. Or you can edit the subtitle frame in third-party software.
To edit the subtitle frame, bring the Wordly subtitle frame into the production video switcher or video software that you're using.
You can remove the Displaying Subtitle panel from the Wordly subtitle frame by cropping it within your video production system.
Advanced Display options
If you want to specify certain aspects of the subtitles, such as font color or background color, you will need to create the subtitle frame in the main Wordly Display feature (https://display.wordly.ai). For more information, read Display Wordly Captions on Screen.
